The First Annual Brooklyn Skillshare
When: Saturday, October 10, 2009
When: Gowanus Studio Space
What: The day consists of 5 blocks of 90-minute classes, with 3 classes taking place per block. Participants could attend as many or as few classes as they like, but were encouraged to make a day of learning.
Mission Statement: Education is a right, not a commodity. We are all students and teachers, and we believe that everyone has something to teach and to learn from each other. The Brooklyn Skillshare is a communal, hands-on, learning experience that aims to serve as a jumping-off point in the construction of an autonomous, nonexclusive, reciprocal learning community
